CIT Systems is headed up by a father and son team.
Bernard Cronyn is of British descent, born and educated in Kenya with early work experience in microbiological and organic chemical laboratories, he moved into the data processing industry after joining NCR and working on main frame systems. A period of several years in the industrial instrumentation industry followed with experience in the oil industry and energy management with names such as Mobil Oil, Honeywell, Robertshaw Controls and Siebe. The necessity to develop software in the latter industry eventually prompted a move back into development and support in the commercial PC field and the establishment of a small company in SA supplying IT support and development for agricultural companies, schools and municipalities. He moved over to the UK early in 1999. He has been involved in projects for the leasing and continuity company Comdisco and for the NHS in London, and surrounding counties.

Ivan Cronyn has been programming since before Margaret Thatcher was voted in as Prime Minister. He focuses on writing C# software for UK financial service companies. Ivan served in the South African Airforce after studying English, Psychology and Business Administration. An early stint in restaurant management was brought to a halt by a badly broken arm from a paragliding accident. Both experiences served him well as a management consultant at Coopers and Lybrand, a role that lead to increasingly senior programming and management posts in the UK financial services. Ivan is currently engaged at GLG Partners, a publicly owned hedge fund, where he assists them by writing and maintaining risk and pricing software.
